The annual MacKenzie Classic golf tournament is a charitable fundraiser benefiting the George F. MacKenzie scholarship fund. The George F. MacKenzie Scholarship Fund supports individuals pursuing long term care careers and individuals advancing their career path and education practicum within the post-acute care sector.
Over the years, we have raised and awarded nearly $215,000 in scholarships to students from the UW Eau Claire Heath Care Administration CHAASE program, member facility staff advancing their careers, Leadership Academy students, and more. Your participation and sponsorship of the MacKenzie Classic enables WHCA/WiCAL to continue its tradition of awarding these scholarships and supporting the future of long term care.
Registration for the MacKenzie Classic is open to all WHCA/WiCAL member facilities and business partners, including their friends and families. All skill levels welcomed and encouraged to participate. It is FUN & casual day supporting a great cause!

REGISTRATION OPTIONS
$650/FOURSOME
Foursome registration includes cart/green fees, MacKenzie Classic T-shirt, two (2) drink tickets per person, hosted bloody mary bar & light breakfast, boxed lunches, hosted dinner & beer, and prizes on every hole.

Bronze-Tee Donor ($1,500): Includes 1 foursome of golfers + Bronze Donor trophy + public recognition of the sponsorship
Silver-Tee Donor ($2,500): Includes 2 foursomes of golfers + Silver Donor Trophy + $100 Oaks Gift Card + public recognition of the sponsorship
Gold-Tee Donor ($3,500): Includes 2 foursomes of golfers + Gold Donor Trophy + $250 Oaks Gift Card + a dozen Titlist ProV1 golf balls + public recognition of the sponsorship

Raffle/Mulligan Drawing Donations: Donate an item or gift basket with a minimum $150 value to be raffled off during the event. The more donations we have, the more scholarship money we can raise! THE SCHEDULE

Registration opens at 9 AM with light breakfast fare
Bloody Mary Bar & Morning Cocktails available from 9 AM – 10:30 AM
Purchase your Mulligan Tickets starting at 9 AM – use those tickets for on-course mulligans, enter raffle prize drawings, and to be entered into the $500 CASH PRIZE shoot-out!
Shot-Gun Start at 10:30 AM – boxed lunches provided to all golfers and tee block sponsors. Lunch is sponsored by The Alden Network.
On-course drinks and drink tickets sponsored by Behavioral Care Solutions: Each golfer and sponsor will have 2 drink tickets on their cart and the team from BCS will be on hole #10 handing out beers and hard seltzers.
Reception/Dinner + Announcement of Prize Winners + Raffle Drawings + $500 Shoot Out to commence at 4:30 PM (or once golfers are off the course). Use your Mulligans to enter into the 100 yard shoot out – 10 lucky contestants will be drawn and given the opportunity to Shoot Out for their chance at $500 cash!!
Greenies (50/50 Raffle) can be purchased on Hole #3 & #14! Buy Greenies and get a beer or hard seltzer!
PRIZES: Chance to win a $25 or $50 Oaks Gift Card on each Hole! Win $500 CASH on hole #7 & #17 if you’re the first person to get a Hole in One. Skitch MacKenzie Memorial Hole (#2): Win $50 Oaks Gift Card + the Skitch MacKenzie Memorial Trophy. Each member of the First Place foursome will receive a commemorative crystal trophy, $100 cash, and a dozen Titleist ProV1 golf balls. Each member of the winning Yellow Ball team will will receive $50 Cash + a sleeve of Titleist golf balls.
MULLIGANS AND GREENIES
Purchase tickets for on-course raffles, take a mulligan, participate in the $500 cash prize shoot-out, or take your chance on winning cash in the 50/50 raffle!
Mulligans: $5/ticket | 5 tickets for $20 | $50 for an arm’s length. Mulligans are used for prize drawings, on-course extra tee shots, and the opportunity to participate in $500 shoot out. Mulligans can be used/surrendered at the staffed/sponsored tee blocks for a re-shot with no penalty.
50/50 Raffle “Greenies”: $10/ticket | 3 tickets for $20 – with $20 purchase, foursome will drop ball at designated spot for tee off | $50 for 8 tickets – $50 purchase provides automatic score of “2” and foursome will advance to the next hole. Save your tickets – one person will win half the pot from each Greenie hole! Greenies are played/purchased at the #3 and #14 tee blocks!
