George F. MacKenzie

The MacKenzie scholarship is named for the late George F. MacKenzie, a former WHCA/WiCAL Executive Director, WHCA/WiCAL president, and former Administrator of the Wisconsin Division of Health, in honor of his nearly 50 years of dedication to Wisconsin’s long-term care community.

The George F. Mackenzie Scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals working in or pursuing careers in long term care. Scholarships have been awarded to students pursing Health Care Administration degrees, existing long term care professionals pursuing advanced degrees or licensing, and individuals developing their leadership skills. Staff from WHCA/WiCAL member facilities and their immediate family members are eligible for scholarships!

Over the years, this scholarship has provided nearly $200,000 in aid!
