A reimbursement workshop focusing on the 2023-2025 state budget funding, cost reports, rates, and CMI
The Reimbursement Workshop is open to all post-acute care providers. The workshop will be hosted from 9:30 AM – 12 PM at the KI Convention Center. Faculty for the workshop includes WHCA/WiCAL Vice President of Reimbursement Policy, Kate Dickson; Larry Lester and Rob Schlicht of Wipfli, LLP; and Tina Schrader-Berte, President/CEO of Pro Ed Continuum LLC.

- Participants will learn about the status of the 2023-2025 state budget related to nursing home and assisted living funding
Understanding your cost report adjustments and Medicaid rate worksheets – Rob Schlicht & Larry Lester
- A discussion regarding responding to Medicaid auditor information requests will educate participants how the information impacts their Medicaid rates
- Presenters will discuss cost report adjustment examples
- Presenters will walk through the key cost report information and how the information impacts a providers Medicaid rates
Understanding the resident roster CMI calculations – Tina Schrader-Berte
- Participants will learn how to access resident rosters
- A discussion related to CMI criteria will help lay the baseline for attendees
- Participants will learn how to reconcile their resident rosters to their internal documentation
- Attendees will learn what areas of the MDS impact their CMI
