On Tuesday, August 18, WHCA/WiCAL staff presented to about 500 assisted living providers across the state on the services that WiCAL offers to members.

Presenting for WiCAL were Jim Stoa, Director of Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs; Pat Boyer, Director of Quality Advancement and Education; and Jena Jackson, Director of Development.

WHCA/WiCAL Staff provided a comprehensive summary of WiCAL member benefits, including:

• Reimbursement and regulatory advocacy with legislators and DHS officials
• Premier educational programming
• Quality Advancement opportunities, including WiCAL’s Performance Excellence in Assisted Living program, the AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards, and quality resources
• COVID-19 resources
• Communications for providers, including a weekly e-update, a monthly workforce update, and a monthly AL-specific update.
