At Fall Convention, former WI Gov. Schreiber to Discuss His Experience As a Caregiver for his Wife with Alzheimer’s

WHCA/WiCAL is pleased to announce that former Wisconsin Governor Martin J. Schreiber will be joining us on Friday, October 21 at 8 a.m. at the 65th Annual WHCA/WiCAL Fall Convention to discuss his experience as a caregiver for his wife, Elaine, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Since that diagnosis, Marty has become a force for change around Alzheimer’s and dementia, especially for the family caregiver.

He will share some of his personal journey, including mistakes he’s made and lessons he’s learned, with the purpose of helping others who are traveling along this challenging road.  Marty encourages caregivers with his honesty, and with the knowledge they are not alone…and charms the rest with his delightful sense of humor and wit.

The insights he shares in this not-to be missed presentation are the basis for his soon to be published book titled “My Two Elaines.”
