Thank You to PEAL & WCCEAL Participating Facilities!

Thank you our WiCAL Assisted Living communities who submitted their Quality Improvement data for Quarter III of 2016 to WCCEAL (Wisconsin Coalition for Collaborative Excellence in Assisted Living).

WiCAL had great participation with 85% of our active WCCEAL members submitting data: ¾ up from 80% from last quarter! The staff members at WHCA/WiCAL thank you for your time and effort in the collection and submission process. Membership participation and engagement continue to be critical contributors to the success of our PEAL (Performance Excellence in Assisted Living) program.

For facilities in good membership standings, reports will be available for you to view beginning on November 1. Reports allow PEAL/WCCEAL participants to exclusively compare your results to other AL facilities. By tracking this limited set of quality variables, your community is engaging in a valuable performance management process. Submitting this data is a great way for facilities to identify areas to focus on for quality improvement initiatives.

If you are not currently involved in PEAL/ WCCEAL, you are in luck! The WCCEAL new membership enrollment period will begin on November 1st and will only last for two weeks until November 14th. Sign up HERE to become a member. WiCAL members participate in PEAL in order to be a part of WCCEAL.

PEAL is a voluntary program open to all WiCAL members. Please note there is no additional charge to participate in the PEAL program, the only requirement is to be a dues-paying member of WiCAL. Participating facilities will receive training and educational tools in recognized performance excellence and quality improvement processes.

WiCAL staff is more than happy to assist you with any quality improvement projects, needs, or additional questions.

For additional information or questions about the PEAL program, please contact WiCAL’s Executive Director, Brian Purtell at or Kelsey Mueller at
