Deadline Next Week! Sign-On to Support Long-Term Care Funding in the State Budget!

Dear Members:

As you know, the 2021-23 State Budget proposed by the Governor includes three very important requests that are overwhelmingly supported by the long-term care provider community:

  • A $241 million Medicaid payment increase is proposed for our nursing facilities;
  • A $77.8 million increase is proposed for the state’s Medicaid waiver Family Care program. This increase will provide great help to our assisted living centers and our members who care for folks living with disabilities;
  • The Department of Health Services is directed to develop rate bands (a fee schedule) to ensure that Family Care providers are reasonably paid for their services. This is a critical first step in the review and restructuring of the Family Care program.

Here’s where we need your help: Click HERE to download a Word Document or HERE to download a PDF petition that I would like you to circulate for signature to your employees, residents, tenants, their families and/or any Wisconsinite who is willing to sign-on to support long-term care. Once you have gathered as many signatures as possible, please scan and email the petitions to rick@whcawical.org or mail them to Rick Abrams, WHCA/WiCAL, 131 W.
