74th Annual Fall Convention & Expo Recap

From October 22–24, members, partners, and post-acute care professionals gathered at the Madison Marriott West for WHCA/WiCAL’s 74th Annual Fall Convention & Expo.

Day one kicked off with the Women of LTC Leadership Symposium, impactful educational programming, and the always-enjoyable Opening Night Reception.

Day two was action-packed with more education, the Annual Awards Ceremony & Luncheon, and the Business Partner Expo & Happy Hour, where WHCA/WiCAL awarded $1,500 in cash to lucky Golden Ticket holders.

The Convention concluded on October 24 with a powerful closing keynote address delivered by Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, followed by updates from WHCA/WiCAL CEO Rick Abrams, Senior VP of Government Relations Eric Koch, and contract lobbyist Dan Romportl on the association’s advocacy goals for 2026.

WHCA/WiCAL extends heartfelt thanks to the industry experts who shared their insights and expertise throughout the educational sessions.

During the Annual Awards Luncheon, WHCA/WiCAL proudly recognized the remarkable achievements of members and partners. This inspiring event honored the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award winners, the Heather Bruemmer WCCEAL Provider Award for Assisted Living Quality recipients, the 2025 Leadership Academy graduates, and our Shining Star Award honorees.
