November 5th is election day – Time to vote!
Dear members,
November 5th is election day. While all elections are important, this one is very important: We will be electing a President of the United States; One of our two U.S. Senate seats is up for election/re-election; All of Wisconsin’s U.S. House of Representatives seats (eight) are up for election/re-election; Finally and certainly as important, all 99 seats in our State Assembly and 50% of the seats in our State Senate are up for election/re-election under a new state legislative districts map.
I do hope that you exercise your constitutional right vote but this is certainly your choice to do so. Importantly, it is very important that you provide your staff and residents who wish to and are able to exercise their right to vote with the opportunity to do so.
Our Ombudsman’s office has prepared a very comprehensive voting guide: Voting Guide . I hope you find it helpful to guide you through election day. I recommend that you contact and work with your municipal or county election officials who are best positioned to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. If you do not receive the answers that you need either from these officials or the Ombudsman’s guide, please do not hesitate to contact me at rick@whcawical.org or 516-241-2879 (cell/text).
Thank you very much for your attention to this very important issue. Above all, thank you and your staff colleagues for all that you do each and every day for our most vulnerable Wisconsin residents! Take good care.
