Webinar – Effective Leadership & The Leadership Academy – A Workforce Solution

Webinar hosted via Zoom; Link provided to registered attendees

Presenter: Brett Remington

Summary

What does it mean to be a leader? What does it feel like to lead? What could you achieve in your work and your life if you were a more effective leader? Leadership is more than a skillset or responsibility – it is a way of being. Choosing to lead is a deliberate act.

WHCA/WiCAL’s Leadership Academy is an experience like no other training or development opportunity you’ve seen before. A small cohort-based group representing a range of leadership experience – from those with years of leadership responsibility to those new in their career join to explore and reflect on the skills and behaviors that contribute to high performing organizations. During this session, Brett Remington will provide a condensed Leadership Academy experience, helping you start to narrow the gap between your leadership performance and potential. This is not a presentation: be prepared to undertake some focused self-reflection in addition to group problem solving.

By attending this session, you will:
• Familiarize yourself with the content, objectives and expectations of the Leadership Academy
• Develop a stronger appreciation of the critical need for leadership skills and characteristics in long-term care and assisted living
• Understand how the Leadership Academy is designed to create personal capacity and immediate value
• Explore skills and behaviors we nurture as part of the Leadership Academy
• Help you arrive at a decision about whether to commit to the Leadership Academy in 2023
