Calling all Administrators and Executive Directors – Please complete an important survey on workforce retention
Dear Members:
Workforce retention and growth are priorities for members, for WHCA/WiCAL and for policymakers. Importantly, a long-serving, capable and empathetic administrator or executive director is a key to the provision of high quality of care and of life for residents and a stable and engaged workforce.
In Wisconsin, we are so fortunate to have one of the premier health care administrator educational and training programs in the country at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire (UWEC). Through our and our national affiliate, AHCA/NCAL’s, support, The Vision Centre, a national not for profit organization, is working with universities and providers across the country to establish new programs and enhance existing programs to approach the impressive stature that we enjoy in Wisconsin with UWEC’s program.
As we all know, a critical first step in growing administrator and executive director leaders is to retain that great leaders that we already have. To this end, WHCA/WiCAL and AHCA/NCAL, our national affiliate, are partnering with The Vision Centre on a short survey that focuses on retention.
Our ask: Immediately below please find some additional background from AHCA/NCAL on The Vision Centre and on this important survey. We know that you are very busy but we respectfully ask that you take the 5-10 minutes to complete the survey, a link to which is provided in the information below. If at all possible, please complete and return the survey no later than March 30th.

The Vision Centre, which AHCA/NCAL supports, is a not profit organization focused on connecting universities and providers for aging services leadership. One of their goals is to foster and grow sustainable academic programs in aging service leadership across the country. They are working on producing an up-to-date report on the challenges and opportunities of the growing need for leaders in the LTC field. To that end, they would like to collect some current information to better understand leadership retention trends in the field today.
They would like our help in getting this out to practicing administrators or executive directors to complete this brief voluntary survey by clicking on this link. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZCM2YDS It only takes between 5-10 minutes to complete. If for whatever reason you don’t want to answer any of the questions, you can skip that question. There is no identifying information that will be used for analyzing the results. They ask that all surveys be completed by Monday, March 30th.
