WHCA/WiCAL Hits the Hill for AHCA/NCAL’s Congressional Briefing
A contingent on WHCA/WiCAL staff and members joined more than 700 members from all 50 states for AHCA/NCAL’s 2026 Congressional Briefing on June 8th and 9th.
Our group met with both of Wisconsin’s Senate Members and half of Wisconsin’s House Members to talk about our federal policy priorities for the rest of 2026. Including critical discussions on solutions to the workforce challenges facing the long-term care sector and the bi-partisan, bi-cameral legislation to address the dynamic between Medicare Advantage plans and providers.
With these meetings, we have met with the entire Wisconsin Congressional Delegation in the last 6 weeks, talking to them about some of these bi-partisan solutions to address challenges facing our members and providers across the long-term care sector.
In addition to provider members, we were joined by representatives from our business partners and sponsors, bringing together the entire sector to talk about these important issues.
