DQA Announces Education Series for Nursing Home Providers – First Program is Tuesday, Feb. 28
The Department of Health Services (DHS) Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) announced recently a four-part series geared toward nursing home compliance. Nursing Home providers and stakeholders are invited to attend the Long Term Care Summit Education Series hosted by the DQA Bureau of Nursing Home Resident Care (BNHRC).
Each month, BNHRC staff will provide information relevant to the survey process and on a variety of topics and trends commonly seen in long term care settings.
- February 28, 2023 – Chapter 5 Overview of New Complaint and Facility Reported Incident Processes and COVID-19 Treatment Telehealth Provider-to-Provider Pathway.
- March 28, 2023 – Survey Process and WisCaregiver Project
- BNHRC Director Ann Angell indicated to WHCA/WiCAL staff that this presentation will include a general overview of survey expectations, including how surveyors and facilities should interact as the survey concludes and surveyors prepare to exit the building.
- April 18, 2023 – Past Non-Compliance and Trending Topics
- May 30, 2023 – Infection Control/Prevention and Enhanced Barrier Precautions
