Dear members:
We wanted to let you know that effective with the close of business on December 30, 2022, our Association colleague, Pat Boyer, retired from her position as Vice President of Quality Advancement and Education. This moment caps an illustrious 30+ year health care sector career.
Pat is nationally recognized for her expertise in long term care clinical and operational matters. This expertise spans the spectrum of long-term care and post-acute issues including operations, federal and state compliance programs, and performance improvement process development. Whether it was clinical issues, regulatory issues, educational programming, assisted living member service, Pat was our “go to” resource! At WHCA/WiCAL, my staff colleagues and I are honored to call Pat, “Our Colleague”. Her retirement leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.
In closing, I wanted to give Pat the last word with a message to all of you:
“It’s been such an honor and privilege to work with WHCA/WiCAL members over the last three years. Your strength and perseverance during the COVID pandemic is awe inspiring. Thank you for continuing to do such important work for your residents and clients.”
Please join my staff colleagues and me in wishing Pat Boyer a long, healthy and fulfilling retirement!
