Last week, AHCA/NCAL announced that the 2025 National Quality Award Intent to Apply (ITA) period is now open.

We encourage members who plan to apply for a National Quality Award in 2025 to submit an ITA before the deadline on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Pathway to Excellence: Achieving an AHCA/NCAL Quality Award, presented by HDGI – During this presentation, a current and former Quality Award Examiner will guide leaders of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities through the steps required to achieve a Bronze or Silver AHCA/NCAL Quality Award. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the award criteria and application process, learn best practices for quality improvement, and discover practical strategies to enhance resident care and organizational performance. WHY SUBMIT AN ITA?

• Commitment to Quality: Demonstrate your organization’s dedication to continuous quality improvement to your communities, staff, and residents.
• Stay Organized: Help keep your organization focused and organized throughout the application process.
• Discounted Application Fee: Applicants who submit an ITA receive a discounted application fee.*
• Exclusive Resources: Gain access to exclusive resources to assist with the application process.

Voluntary but Encouraged: While submitting an ITA is voluntary, it is strongly encouraged for long term and post-acute care providers.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Step 1. Visit ahcancal.org/QualityAward and select  “Login” under Portal

Step 2. Log in using your designated username and password. Don’t know what that is? No problem! Contact a team member at qualityaward@ahca.org and we will get you set up.

Step 3. Navigate to your center’s dashboard and select “Payment” to submit your Intent to Apply. You are done!
