Providers are invited to a webinar to learn more about a pilot survey focused on direct care workers at agencies that serve older adults and people with physical disabilities. The results will help the Wisconsin Department of Health Services learn how to improve the quality and stability of the direct care workforce statewide.

The Staff Stability Survey-Aging and Physical Disabilities will collect state and national data on workforce demographics, turnover rates, length of employment, vacancy rates, hourly wages, benefits, recruitment, and retention strategies

Lessons learned from the pilot will be used to launch a survey available to all states in 2023. Also, your data will be included in a state-level technical report for the pilot states released by National Core Indicators. The pilot, from the National Core Indicators—Aging and Disabilities (NCI-AD) initiative, is a collaboration between ADvancing States, Human Services Research Institute (HSRI), and the five pilot states.

Agenda

The webinar gives you the opportunity to learn about the survey, including how it will work and why you should contribute. Topics will include:

  • Background and goals
  • How to participate
  • Key dates and timelines
  • Incentive payment details
  • Questions and answers

Benefits

Eligible organizations that complete the survey will receive an incentive payment of up to $1,000. The number of workers employed by your agency determines the incentive amount. The survey will open September 1, 2022, and all entries must be received by October 31, 2022.

Accessibility

If you require American Sign Language, live captioning, or other language assistance during the presentation, please email us at dhsdmswiarpahcbs@dhs.wisconsin.gov by August 18.
