SEPTEMBER 9 & 10 | 10 AM – 12 PM | Members: $139 | Non-Members: $169
2020 has been an interesting year for the Survey Process. Standard Surveys have been suspended and a robust process of Federal Infection Control Surveys (FICS) have been implemented. With this new focus on Infection Control, in light of COVID-19, facility staff need to make sure basic and specialized processes are in place while implementing ever changing, more stringent protocols. This session will review some basic survey information and statistics, new deficiencies cited with the FICS surveys. We will also discuss ways to prepare for these specialized surveys and expectations of CMS in implementing regulatory processes including, Directed Plans of Correction with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and QAPI. At the completion of this webinar, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the present survey process and initial outcomes being seen
- Describe the Federal Infection Control Survey and challenges to overcome
- Determine what your facility can do to be prepared for the new survey processes
