The AIT Program is a full-time program in which the AIT obtains practical on-the-job training in a skilled nursing environment under the direct supervision of an experienced and knowledgeable Administrator.
Pay: $60,000 to $65,000
The training program includes: Rotation through the various departments and duties in a skilled nursing facility; education on the interrelationships of the facility with outside parties and government agencies (such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services); and a study of regulations and requirements associated with the operation of a skilled nursing facility. Other topics of education for those in the AIT position include business/fiscal accounting management and principles of risk management and health care compliance. AIT candidates must meet the minimum regulatory requirements for licensure in their state of intended residence. An Administrator’s long-term success in the role is limited only by his/her own performance and motivation.

-Has a professional and tactful demeanor allowing him/her to effectively deal with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, physicians, government agencies/personnel, and the general public even under stressful or emotional circumstances
-An inspirational leader and mentor who brings out the best in his/her managers and staff.
-Possesses a keen sense of business management guided by a strong set of values and ethics.
-Prior business management experience preferred.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Currently already has obtained Wisconsin nursing home administrators license
