Your Opportunity to Provide Input on Wisconsin’s Dementia Plan
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the State Dementia Plan Steering Committee are currently updating the State Dementia Plan for the period 2024-2028. The last plan brought together caregivers, facilities, advocacy groups, local agencies, elected officials, and providers from across the state. The previous State Dementia Plan identified critical issues and, along with partners, implemented support groups, expanded rural research hubs and access to memory screenings, designed dementia-friendly toolkits, and created the dementia care specialist program. You can ensure that the voice of the long-term care provider community is heard and the state and their partners can build on these successes to make life better for all those affected by memory loss! The Department of Health Services would love to learn how dementia has affected your work. Please take the anonymous survey, so that your insights are included in the next State Dementia Plan!
