Draft Minimum Data Set (MDS) Item Sets Posted
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) posted the draft MDS 3.0 Item Sets version (v)1.19.1 and Item Matrix in the downloads section on the Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) Manual page. MDS updates included in sections GG, N and O are effective beginning Oct. 1, 2024.

This nine-session series is a nationwide collaboration featuring local and national experts providing strategies, interventions and targeted solutions to ensure access to MOUD treatment and facilitate the continuity of care through the continuum (including nursing homes).
The Feb. 9 session focuses on the nursing home setting to learn more on how include OUD screening in nursing home admission assessments, provide access to treatment for patients with OUD, and how to recognize and manage a patient who is overdosing.
