ICYMI: From the Division of Quality Assurance: Free November and December Workshop and other Educational Opportunities

As part of the Division’s commitment to Collaboration, Innovation and Quality, the WI Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Quality Assurance (DQA), and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement and Training (UWO CCDET) would like to help you meet your training needs this fall!

Workshops for Administrators, Managers, Supervisors, Trainers & HR Professionals
CCDET-led workshops are for staff in DQA-regulated settings who are responsible for carrying out state and federal requirements. To help keep these virtual workshops affordable and accessible, they are partially subsidized by DQA.

Virtual Workshops:

  • November 7 – 5 Steps to Caregiver Background Checks: Completing checks & evaluating results – Includes resources to ensure compliance
  • November 12 – Rules of the Road: Compliance Pathways for New & Existing Providers (NEW in 2024) – Includes administrative requirement quick reference charts for ADCC, AFH, CBRF, HHA, Hospice, PCA & RCAC providers
  • November 14 – Setting Your Training Course: Navigating the regulations – Includes training requirement quick reference charts for AFH, CBRF, RCAC, NH, HHA & PCA providers
  • November 26 – Caregivers SOAR! Encouraging Success ~ Opportunity ~ Advancement ~ Retention – Includes participant worksheets for staff training

Additional virtual workshops are scheduled in December, including the new workshop:

  • December 12 – Investigating & Reporting Requirements for Federally Certified Providers: Ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 4 total participant hours by the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards, National Continuing Education Review Service (NAB/NCERS) —Approval # 20251211-4-A107671-DL.
