From DQA and UW-Oshkosh: Staff Training Resources

Attn: All Regulated Health Care Providers

Wisconsin Caregiver Training Project Update

The Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) continues to collaborate with the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Center for Community Development, Engagement & Training (CCDET) to ensure regulated healthcare and homecare providers have access to education to build knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care, treatment, and services.

2023 Training Needs Survey Results

At this time, we would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to the Training Needs Survey in April! The second annual customer survey provided important input for the existing training curriculum, as well as, preferences for future topics. Online/on-demand workshops ranked #1 in training delivery options. Staff Retention, as well as, Workplace Mental Health and Well-Being ranked first and second in provider’s current training needs. Stay tuned for new training materials this fall!

Citation-Related Training Topics

DQA’s oversight includes unannounced monitoring and compliance surveys for certain facility types. As part of the survey process, a regulated provider may receive a Statement of Deficiency for a variety of citations and may require staff training as part of the Plan of Correction. The Caregiver Training Project provides a variety of classroom-style (topical) trainings, video-based (experiential) trainings and on-demand courses that can assist you in addressing your staff training needs related to citations. Please see the newly developed webpage at https://uwosh.edu/ccdet/citation/ for more information.

If you have other training needs, please contact us at ccdet@uwosh.edu. DQA and CCDET look forward to working with you to train your staff!
