Free Geriatric Care Trainings for Healthcare Professionals

The Northwest Wisconsin Area Health and Education Center (AHEC), in partnership with the Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE) at the UW-Madison School of Nursing, is offering two free trainings designed to support professionals who serve older adults. These hands-on, engaging sessions are part of CareU’s initiative to enhance care for older adults and empower those who care for them.

Training Options:

• January 27–28: Train-the-Trainer Model
  • Designed for direct care staff interested in training others using the CARE U curriculum.

• January 28: Direct Care Professional Training
  • Tailored for Certified Nursing Assistants, Personal Care Workers, Direct Care Workers, and others providing services to elderly individuals.
