Late last week, DHS published its draft revisions to Ch. 88.

DHS also scheduled its first meeting of the DHS 88 Advisory Committee for Wednesday, March 15, 10 am – 11:30 am.

The next Advisory Committee meeting will occur on Wednesday, March 22 from 9:30 – 11:30 am. The Zoom meeting will be accessible at https://dhswi.zoomgov.com/j/1601244206.

The proposed rule draft was prepared by DHS and has not yet been reviewed by the DHS Secretary’s Office. BAL Director Dan Perron has assured WHCA/WiCAL that our association input will be taken into consideration.

WHCA/WiCAL has formed its own working group to review DHS’s proposed rule change and will submit public comment to DHS. Our comment will include any concerns about the changes DHS proposes, as well as sharing ideas on what is missing from the draft that we believe is important to include.
