Background: Until the spring of 2020, UW-Madison Continuing Studies offered a Specialized Course for NHA Licensure in Wisconsin, titled, “Nursing Home Administration Licensure Preparation Correspondence Course”. The program was approved as a Specialized Course by the Wisconsin Nursing Home Administrator Examining Board.  “Specialized courses” are individual courses offered by educational institutions or course providers which lead to adequate preparation, along with one year of experience in the field of institutional administration, to receive the necessary training/instruction for NHA licensure.
