WHCA/WiCAL Job Announcement

WHCA/WiCAL is seeking candidates for a newly-created Director of Development position. We ask that you share this announcement with qualified individuals who may be interested in this position.

REPORTS TO: WHCA Executive Director

SALARY: Range $60-80,000 in annual compensation and may be adjusted higher for candidates with greater skills and experience. It is understood that because this is an exempt staff position, no overtime and/or compensatory time will be paid or accrued. Benefits include: 401k plan, health insurance coverage and paid parking. Six-month probationary period.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all membership development efforts.
  • Responsible for all sponsorship development, advertising revenue generation, and non-dues revenue acquisition efforts.
  • Work with staff regarding WHCA/WiCAL brand development.
  • Coordinate all efforts associated with the WHCA/WiCAL Service Corporation.
  • Handle marketing of WHCA/WiCAL educational offerings.
  • Complete other projects as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled in oral and written communications.
  • Comfortable and experienced in operating in the digital world.
  • experience in sales, as well as in marketing and/or brand development.
  • Human relations skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to function independently or as a team member.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Access to automobile.
  • Social media management skills including proficiency using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Understanding of the long-term and post-acute care business and vendor environment desired.
