AHCA NCAL ED logo

AHCA/NCAL has released a Behavioral Health Guide on the ahcancalED platform, designed to help long-term care providers strengthen behavioral health services while ensuring compliance with federal requirements, including F740 related to behavioral health services. Developed by members of the AHCA Clinical Practice Committee—leaders with expertise in building successful behavioral programs—this guide offers practical tools and educational resources tailored for today’s care settings.

Free registration is available to all AHCA/NCAL members.

The program includes five comprehensive modules, each focused on a core aspect of behavioral health:

  1. Acquired Brain Injury/Traumatic Brain Injury

  2. Dementia

  3. Medical Complexities and Mental Health

  4. Substance Use Disorders

  5. Rehabilitation Therapies

Each module provides:

  • Educational videos led by subject matter experts

  • Downloadable PowerPoint presentations

  • Handouts for staff and team use

  • A summary document highlighting key takeaways

Facilities can use the guide sequentially for a complete program or tailor their approach by selecting individual modules to meet their specific needs.
