Call for WHCA/WiCAL Board Member Nominations
Dear Members:
Interested in serving the long term care profession by serving in a leadership position with the Wisconsin Health Care Association/Wisconsin Center for Assisted Living (WHCA/WiCAL)?
WHCA/WiCAL currently has vacancies on its Board of Directors. This body meets six to eight times per year. There are at least two in person meetings: Spring Conference in April and Fall Convention in October. The remainder of the meetings are virtual. The Board manages the affairs of the Association and sets its policy direction consistent with the Association’s bylaws and direction of the general membership.
In addition to attending meetings, Board members are expected to actively participate in such meetings by reviewing each meeting agenda and supporting materials beforehand. Board members are also expected to proactively communicate with the general membership within their geographic districts and regions, and support important Association initiatives.
To be considered for a Board seat, you must be employed at a WHCA/WiCAL member nursing facility or assisted living center (AFH, CBRF or RCAC). Please submit a letter of interest and your resume/CV to Rick Abrams’, CEO, rick@whcawical.org , attention by Friday, June 26th . If you would like to nominate a member to serve, please also let Rick know of your nomination by Friday, June 26th .
